Title: Mulberry, 50 New Bond Street
Client: dpa lighting design

LED Light Sheet has been used to display Mulberry's famous luxury leather products at the newly relocated flagship boutique on London's New Bond Street.

LED Light Sheet's selection for this beautiful but environmentally conscious boutique is a pertinent accolade for a product which has been developed with energy efficiency as a core characteristic.

The store design, which resembles an art gallery space, was conceived by Universal Design Studio with dpa lighting design providing a lighting design solution which was mindful of energy saving criteria.

LED Light Sheet's selection for this beautiful but environmentally conscious boutique (which is expected to receive a BREEAM rating of 'excellent') is a pertinent accolade for a product which has been developed with energy efficiency as a core characteristic.

dpa lighting Designer Jorg Seemann explains: 'Functionally, the LED Light Sheet units serve as downward illumination to products in two oak 'folly' units within the boutique. The follies give the products displayed within them a higher presence within the store, as though presented on a stage within a stage.'

Each LED Light Sheet unit was fitted with warm white LEDs and supplied with dimmers, allowing the brightness of the units to be programmed and set. The lighting units may be repositioned around the oak display systems, allowing for the reconfiguration of the modular shelving units as changing products are displayed.

Following the opening of this boutique, LED Light Sheet has been employed in further Mulberry projects.
